udapa = water well;
ukta = said;
Umaa (F) = A name of Goddess Parvati. Etym: A personification of the divine sound 'Aum'.
Unmatta (n) = A person in ecstasy.

Usage: yoogii yooganiyoojita chittoo
ramatee baaloonmattavad (baala unmattavad) iva. S`ankaraacharya in Bhaja Goovinda verses. Meaning:
A person whose intellect is yoked in ascetism, delights like a child in ecstasy.

unmiisha (v) = open eyes;
upaas`rita = take shelter;

Utkant`ha (n) = 1. Anxious 2. Above neck.

Usage: Valmiki Ramayana 3-13-2
Adhva shrameen`a vaam kheedo baadhate pracura shramaha
Vyaktam utkant`hee vaa api Maithilii Janaka aatmajaa. (Sage Agastya said to Sita and Rama that the sweat on their neck expressed the great strain they have undergone walking on the path).

Utsavam : Carnival, festival, ceremony
